Sometimes brides are too scared to use colour, and they end up playing it safe by sticking with the blush pinks and muted grey tones. Some worry that using colour might not suit the type of event or would be far too bold; others are just unsure how to they would even begin to integrate colour into their wedding in a sophisticated and elegant way.

And you know what, I can totally understand the hesitation… colour can be scary! Especially if you’re not a planner or designer or stylist who works with it all the time. But I want to help you, because I know you can do it! There are so many ways you can add colour to your special day (without it looking like a circus).

As you read through this post on how to integrate colour into your wedding day, the most important thing I want you to take away from it is this: BE YOU!

Let the style of your wedding showcase your unique style, your awesome personality, and your one-of-a-kind love!

And if your unique style involves an abundance of blush pink, then do that! I just don’t want you to limit yourself to this one style of wedding - or one style of anything. You are unique! And your wedding should be too.

Here are some good tips on how to infuse colour into your special day:

Have 1-2 main colours, and use pops of colour as your accents! Love metallics? Why not use copper mugs for your day! Love bright hues like yellow or orange? Sprinkle them into your bouquet! Fan of hot pink? Buy some sassy footwear or getting read robe in fuschia! Integrating pops of colour throughout your wedding is a great way to infuse your own personality and unique love story!

So basically, my advice for those brides currently searching for colour inspiration... is to just go for it! Normally you would think that orange, and blue, and burgundy might not go together, or might be too bold or loud, but when it comes down to it, it's all about how you use the colour. There are so many ways to infuse some of your personality into your special day. Be bold! And be courageous when it comes to colour! The possibilities are endless!
